Patterns in the Void
technology: Adobe Illustrator
As part of the 2012 Detroit Design Festival, designers were challenged to create an experimental map of Detroit. Throughout August, 2012, I recorded my travels around the city: where I was, why I was there, and how long I was there. I presented this data in a form that we commonly see, a table format, but do not expect in a geographic map.
Clear patterns emerged, showing the ZIP codes that I frequently visit and those I rarely visit.
