Coded Communication

An experimental, gestured-based device that allows users to communicate easily and privately. An infrared LED inside of a pen sends a signal to a webcam mounted inside a desk. The webcam then sends input data to Flash. The Flash output is then projected onto plexiglass mounted inside the book.

Haley Querro designed and developed the interface. Courtney Burgam made the LED input. I constructed the desk to hold all of the hardware.
software: Flash, AS3, OpenCCV
hardware: infrared LED, push button, inkpen, webcam, projector, 3/4” plywood, mirror, book, and plexiglass
